Ingredients
– 2 cups self-rising flour
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (plus more for brushing)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine self-rising flour and heavy cream. Mix gently with a fork or hands until a dough forms. Do not overmix.
3. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat out to ¾-inch thickness.
4. Cut out 8 biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass. Avoid twisting the cutter.
5. Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet close together.
6. Brush tops with half the melted butter.
7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
If you don’t have self-rising flour, mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour with 1 tablespoon baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt.
