  • 150 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 100 g semolina or crumbled phyllo dough
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp rosewater

Instructions

  • Prepare Your Workspace:
    Clear your kitchen counter and arrange all ingredients and utensils on a clean white table. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Melt the Chocolate:

    Pour half of the melted chocolate over the base. Evenly spread the cheese mixture on top, then drizzle the remaining chocolate over the cheese. Use a spatula to create gentle swirls, ensuring the layers meld beautifully.

    Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes. Keep a close eye on the dessert to ensure the cheese melts perfectly without overcooking the chocolate.

    Once baked, allow the knafeh chocolate bar to cool slightly before cutting into pieces. Serve warm or at room temperature for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For extra texture, sprinkle finely chopped pistachios or almonds on top before baking.
